Gillian has always had a passionate interest in every species of animals. As a young girl she had pet birds and fish but was not allowed to have a dog or cat.  She started volunteering at a horse stable until her love of music lead her to work as a wedding violinist and as a member of the East Coast Philharmonic Orchestra.  She realized that working with animals was the direction she wanted her life to go in while attending BGSU so she started ‘GK Walks’ which was a pet-sitting and dog walking business in her Massachusetts hometown where she found Yoshi, a Shiba Inu who helped her on the pack walks and gained his CGC Certification.

This led her to a local trainer where she apprenticed to become a dog trainer where she then conducted positive training classes at PetSmart.  Over the next four years she continued to grow her business and hired two employees to help her with demand in the Massachusetts South Shore. Gillian passed her business to her family and backpacked through Europe for two months then did a road trip up the East Coast to Canada before settling in Cleveland. Her love of dog behavior and pet care brought her to Inn The Doghouse after working as a pet sitter and veterinary assistant in the area.  She looks forward to resuming her education in behavioral studies and biology.  Gillian lives with her significant other, Ryan, their furry love-bug, Yoshi and their rescue hound Deku.
