1. Where is Inn The Doghouse Pet Resort located?
Inn The Doghouse has three locations in Northeast Ohio:

2. What services does Inn The Doghouse offer?
Inn The Doghouse Pet Resort offers dog boarding, dog daycare, professional grooming, and enrichment classes. Whether your pup needs a place to stay while you are away, a full day of play with friends, a spa day, or some mental stimulation through enrichment, we have it covered.
3. What vaccinations or health requirements are needed before my dog or cat can attend?
We require proof of current vaccinations before your pet can participate in boarding or daycare.
Dogs: Current rabies and DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus) vaccines, plus a clean fecal exam on file.
Dogs 7 months and older must be spayed/neutered.
Cats: Current rabies and FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia) vaccines.
Please note that cats are welcome for boarding only and are not part of our daycare program. Contact your nearest location to confirm your pet’s records before their first visit.
4. Are there age requirements for daycare and boarding?
Dogs must be at least 4 months old to attend.
5. Do you require a temperament evaluation before daycare?
Yes. Before joining our daycare pack, all new dogs complete a brief temperament evaluation. This helps us understand your dog’s personality and play style so we can match them with the right group from day one. It also gives your pup a chance to get comfortable with the space and our team before jumping into the action.
6. What happens during dog daycare?
Your dog will enjoy a full day of supervised play, socialization, exercise, and rest. All play is off leash and collar free, creating a safer, more natural environment for dogs to interact. Dogs are grouped by size and temperament to keep every interaction positive. Daycare is a great option for busy pet parents who want their dog active and happy during the day. Expect a happily exhausted pup at pickup.
7. What is included with dog boarding?
Dog boarding at Inn The Doghouse includes cozy accommodations, round-the-clock supervised care, and plenty of playtime. You are welcome to bring your dog’s favorite food, bedding, or toys to help them feel at home. We follow your feeding and medication instructions to keep their routine consistent. Webcam access is available so you can check in on your pup anytime.
8. Is Inn The Doghouse a safe place for my dog?
Absolutely. Our trained staff closely monitors every dog during play, rest, and feeding. We invest in ongoing training so our team stays current on best practices in pet care. All play is off-leash and collar-free to reduce injury risk and allow natural movement. Every dog is evaluated before joining group play, and groups are separated by size and temperament. If something comes up, our team responds quickly.
9. Does Inn The Doghouse offer grooming services?
Yes! Inn The Doghouse offers professional grooming at our Lakewood and Mentor locations, including baths, haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning, and more. Grooming is available for boarding guests, daycare regulars, or walk-ins. Walk-in grooming does require proof of a current rabies vaccine and is subject to groomer availability. We recommend booking in advance whenever possible, as slots fill up quickly.
